#Repost @natgeo with @repostapp ・・・ Photo by Corey Arnold @arni_coraldo America’s national symbol, the Bald Eagle, is not always the stoic postal service mascot fearlessly plucking salmon from the pristine rivers of Alaska that many of us imagine. I found this eagle scavenging old fish from the deck of a pollock trawler and many others rooting through garbage dumpsters around town. Reality can be easily overshadowed by what we believe to be true. This eagle is not blind but instead captured mid-blink. I’ll be spending the next month in the Aleutian Islands exploring the relationship between industry and nature adding to my eagle-centric series #AleutianDream .
